FixIt Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
FixIt ("we", "the app") connects customers with partners ("repairmen" or "service providers") for services
including car mechanics, plumbing, electrical work, computer repair, air conditioning, home repair, laundry,
pet grooming, and general handyman work. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
What FixIt is
FixIt is a platform that matches customers with partners. Partners are independent professionals, not
FixIt employees or agents — FixIt does not perform repair work itself and is not a party to the repair
agreement between a customer and a partner.
FixIt does not collect, hold, or process payment for a job. The customer pays the partner
directly. The only money FixIt charges is its platform fee, which it charges to the partner — see below.
Account verification
- Partners must submit a Police Clearance Certificate, a government ID document, and a live selfie before
their profile is shown to customers, and a fresh live selfie every time they turn availability on. This is
reviewed by an app administrator, and the selfie is automatically compared against the ID photo.
- Both customers and partners must be truthful in the information they provide (name, contact details,
identity documents) — providing false information is grounds for account deactivation.
- An account can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in elsewhere ends the previous session.
What the customer pays
- Customers pay partners directly for labour and parts — by cash, bank transfer, or another method you
agree between yourselves. This payment happens entirely outside the app; FixIt does not collect, hold, or
process it, and is not a party to it.
- To mark a job complete, the customer confirms in the app that payment has been made to the partner.
- The price shown in the app before you book is what the work costs. On top of the job price, a booking may
include: an urgent call-out fee of ฿200 for immediate service; an after-hours
rate of +20% on labour between 18:00–21:00 or +50% between 21:00–08:00; and a small flat
travel fee on very small orders in some categories. Every one of these is shown and totalled
in the app before you confirm.
- If the partner buys parts for the job, you repay the actual parts cost plus a 10% sourcing
fee. Parts are charged at cost — the partner shows a receipt photo in the app.
- Tips are optional and go entirely to the partner.
- If you book an inspection visit because you are not sure what is wrong, the price you agree to at
booking covers the visit and diagnosis only. After inspecting, the partner sends you a price for the
actual repair. No repair work and no additional charge happens unless you accept that price in the app.
If you accept it, the inspection fee is deducted from your total, so the visit costs you nothing extra.
If you decline it, the job ends there and you owe only the inspection fee.
- Work found during the job that was not in the original booking must be quoted in the app and accepted by
you before it is carried out.
- If you cancel after a partner has accepted, FixIt may charge a flat ฿100 cancellation fee to your
payment card on file, to cover the partner's wasted trip. If you cancel after work has already started,
that fee is ฿150.
- Referral rewards: a customer's referral coupon discounts what they pay the partner directly, and a
referring partner is compensated through a credit against their own platform fee — never a cash payment
from FixIt.
What the partner pays FixIt
- FixIt charges partners a platform fee on each completed job — currently 15% of labour,
reduced to 10% for partners who meet FixIt's top-tier criteria. The fee is charged on
labour only, never on parts you were reimbursed for and never on tips.
- The fee is settled from a prepaid balance held in your FixIt account. You top this
balance up by PromptPay in the app; it is the only way to pay FixIt's fees. When a job completes, the fee is
deducted from the balance automatically.
- The prepaid balance can only be used to pay FixIt platform fees. It cannot be withdrawn,
transferred, or refunded as cash. Only top up what you expect to spend on fees.
- If your balance does not cover a fee, the shortfall is recorded against your account and you cannot take
new jobs until it is settled.
- If a customer is not there or the job cannot proceed through no fault of yours, a ฿300
wasted-trip fee is charged to the customer and paid to you, less the platform fee.
Workmanship warranty
- Repair work carried out through FixIt carries a 30-day workmanship warranty from the
partner who did it. If the same fault returns within 30 days, the customer can file a claim in the app.
- The warranty covers the partner's work. Parts carry whatever warranty the manufacturer or
seller gives them, which is separate.
- A partner has 48 hours to respond to a claim. A partner who does not respond in time
stops receiving new jobs until they do.
Items and vehicles taken away
Some services move your property rather than working on it where it stands — currently emergency motorcycle
recovery and laundry collection. These rules apply whenever a booking includes one of them.
- Condition record before collection. The partner must photograph the item in the app
before it is moved. For a vehicle this means front and instrument cluster, both sides, and the rear with the
licence plate. Please stay with it while this is done and point out any existing damage.
- Damage already visible in those photos is not a transport claim. The photos are the agreed
record of the condition at pickup.
- If no pre-trip photos were taken, the partner carries the claim in full. There is then no
record to show the damage was already there, and the responsibility for that is the partner's.
- Mechanical and electrical faults are not transport damage. A vehicle recovered because it
has broken down is not warranted to run afterwards, and a fault that existed before pickup remains the owner's.
- Distance. The published recovery price covers transport within 10 km. A longer journey is
additional work and must be agreed and priced in the app before it is carried out.
- Remove valuables and loose items before transport. Helmets, luggage, phone mounts, documents
and anything not fixed to the vehicle are your responsibility.
- FixIt does not currently provide goods-in-transit insurance. A transport-damage dispute is resolved between
the customer and the partner, using the photo record described above, with FixIt's role limited to what is
described under "Limitation of liability" below.
During a job
- While a job is active, the customer can see the partner's live location on a map, so they know when to
expect them. This stops when the job ends.
- The partner records before-and-after photos of the work. These are evidence for both sides if the work
is later disputed.
- Either party can raise an SOS alert during an active job, which shares their live location with FixIt
administrators for the duration of the alert.
Conduct and account status
- Either party can report a problem with a job to FixIt from within the app.
- When FixIt concludes a report about a partner, it may issue: a warning; a
fee penalty (a higher platform-fee rate for a set number of jobs); a
suspension from taking new jobs for a set period; or deactivation of the
account. The partner is told which, and why.
- A suspended partner keeps access to the app and can still settle any fees owed. A deactivated account
cannot sign in or use the app at all.
- Repeated job cancellations after accepting, no-shows, fraudulent documents, or other abuse of the platform
may also result in reduced visibility in matching or account deactivation.
- You may stop using FixIt at any time; contact us to request account deletion.
Limitation of liability
FixIt facilitates the connection between customers and partners but does not guarantee the quality of any
repair work performed. Disputes about the work itself are between the customer and the partner; FixIt's role
is limited to the booking, reporting, and identity-verification process described here and in our
Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, you will be asked to review and accept the updated
version in the app before continuing to use it.
